her name is brooklyn herenui kahikilani johnson. isn't she beautiful. our new princess was born last night at 6:17 pm, weighing in at a petite 5 pounds 14 ounces, and 19 inches long. we got to watch thru the nursery window (only one small window in the maui memorial hospital nursery) as baby girl got checked and measured and poked and prodded and bathed. it was wonderful! jen and i got to pick out her hat, the pink and green one with the tassel on top.

oh my, we'll have to struggle thru spoiling one more grandbaby. the sacrifices we make! we are so blessed!
speaking of new creations . . . i fell in love with other pin cushion jars that i saw out in blogland, and i had to make one myself. so this is what i came up with. i rather love it. what say you?
